Finally got round to making my new year mix, its been a hectic few months for me and things are not slowing down. Last year was another great year, I had the privilege of DJing at the 'W Hotel' in Qatar for a month as well and Athens in December and the launch of the new Porsche events all over the UK. The new year has kicked off with a gig in Surat, India which was an amazing experience with another round of Porsche events to come in April This mix is a mixture of my usual energetic uplifting vocal House tunes that Im loving at the moment, please feel free to comment and become a follower, thank you and I hope you like the tunes!! About DJ MinxDJ Minx is of British origin and has grown up living in various places in Europe and finally settling in London in 1997. She has built up a reputation for her sophisticated energetic uplifting vocal house sound. Having graced the decks in 2002 and living with two DJs at the time, gained all the advice and tips needed and picked up the trade with incredible speed and success. DJ Minx is one of the hottest female DJs on the club scene and is one to certainly watch out for! She was nominated for the ‘Diva Magazine’ Best DJ of the Year Awards only months after starting her career and moved on to DJ in some the UK’s most prestigious venues such as The End, A.K.A, DTPM at Fabric, Matinee, Gore Hotel, Shadow Lounge, Coco Latte, Lo Profile, Salvation (London, Paris, Germany & Denmark), SO.UK, Area (Vauxhall), Heaven and the coolest celebrity hangouts, Savoy Hotel, Baglioni Hotel, Aqua and Nobu in Mayfair to name but a few where she has been a long standing resident DJ for 6 years playing at all private parties hosted at Nobu as well as guest slots on Axiom Live Radio Online. In less than a year of spinning her funky tunes DJ Minx first International gig was in Pisa, Italy and provided music at beach parties and gay events in Viareggio, Milan, Paris, Florence and Nice which got the ball rolling on her musical journey to Athens, Belgium, Germany, France, Washington DC, Miami Music Conference where she where she was the headline DJ for ‘Joi Cardwell’s’ Record Release Party along side the Groove Junkies and also played guest slots at French Kiss Miami. This led to performances further across the globe such as India and Sydney's 30th Anniversary Mardi Gras in the famous venues ‘Oxford Art Factory’ & ‘Mars Lounge’ and the Middle East at the stunning W Hotel in Doha, Qatar. DJ Minx also joined forces with fellow DJ, Mark Bambach in music production with our track ‘Addict to the Dance Floor’ feat. Meshach. This full vocal original composition features vocal talents of Meshach Mills, who was featured on the club classic by Kinky Roland ‘Born Funky’. The composition contains no samples, however, it is loosely based around Rene and Angela’s 80’s underground soul anthem ‘I Love You More’. Some of the notes have been altered to avoid any clearance problems and features live strings provided by Sam Cardwell aka DJ Minx, live bass, guitar and lush keyboard.
